As I was putting this post together, I realized that yesterday would have been the perfect day for it to land on our blog. Jill and James are both in active duty in the U.S. Army. As today is Veteran’s day, it’s the perfect day to share their wedding and celebration.
This wedding was so much fun. Jill and James had both their wedding and their reception at their house. They had only bought their house a few months before, so family and friends pitched in and helped ready the house for the ceremony and reception. Flowers were planted, a barn was painted bright red, and a tent was brought in and decorated. It was worth it, because the place looked amazing. Unfortunately, a rainstorm decided to blow through mid-day, and move the party indoors.
Despite the storm we had a bunch of fun, and we felt honored to be able to share the day with Jill and James. Congratulations on your marriage!

On to the house!
Jill and James had intended to have their ceremony outdoors, by a pergola that James had built for Jill. Unfortunately, as I said, a rainstorm decided to make an appearance right as the ceremony was scheduled to begin. Everyone gathered their belongings, moved over to the tent, and patiently waited for the rain to subside.
Finally, the rain slowed to a lighter downpour, and Jill was able to make her way to the tent for the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the rain stopped, and the skies cleared slightly. Jill and James have an adorable red barn right next to their house that proved perfect for some photos with their wedding party.
The pigs kept roasting throughout the rain.
Remember the pergola I mentioned earlier? The sun decided to peek through for a few minutes, so we took Jill and James out to their original ceremony location for a few sunset pictures.
I love this photo. Jill looks gorgeous, and so happy!
James wanted a few pictures with a traditional military pose.
For the rest of the evening, Jill, James, and their friends and family just danced, celebrated and relaxed.
Don’t forget, leave a comment, and make our day!
