When we first met Krista, she noted that she was holding her reception at the Shaker Barn in Albany. We were instantly excited to shoot her wedding at such a historical location. Allison discusses Shaker history in her classroom every year! What we didn’t know at that time, was how awesome Krista and Andrew’s wedding would be, and how much fun we would have working with them.
We started our day with Krista at the Hotel Indigo where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. From there, we traveled to Memorial Chapel at Union College for their ceremony. The beautiful grounds of Union were the perfect location for many of their photos. We traveled around the grounds to several picturesque locations. Then we were on our way to the reception at the The Shaker Heritage Museum, which simply rocked! Dave Cannon, of Elite Sounds Entertainment, kept the dance floor full all night long. Of course, it helped that both Krista and Andrew loved to dance! Their wedding was also the debut of the Camera Famosa Photobooth, and their guests had a grand time playing around with the props. They turned out some really creative shots!
Krista and Andrew, it was an absolute pleasure working with you. We wish you the best of luck with your marriage, and we hope you had a fantastic time on your honeymoon in St. Lucia.
~ Sincerely – Allison & Tim
I love the look of pure joy on both of their faces at this moment. So sincere…
We love working with a large wedding party. The more the merrier, and these folks were really awesome to work with!
Krista’s subdued color combination was classic and stylish.
The first dance – Again, as we saw all day, the two of them just radiated joy.
We ventured back outdoors in the evening for a few more photos.
Krista and Andrew’s wedding was held on one of the hottest days of the year, but that didn’t stop their friends and family from dancing, even in a historic barn with no air conditioning.
At one point, Andrew took the mike and rapped “Ice, Ice Baby.” Yes, you read that correctly. I hope someone took some video, because watching him rap was hysterical and awesome at the same time. This guy really knows how to have fun!
Dancing to the last song of the night, The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends”.
The premiere of the Camera Famosa Photobooth was incredibly popular. You can check our more of the photos here.
