Victoria and Lee were married at the Mohawk Country Club this past June. These two were so nice, and we had great fun working with both of them, and their families and friends. These two actually live close by, so hopefully, we’ll get to see them again at some point! Congratulations you two!

A few weeks ago, Renee and Andrew had the cutest “Doctor Who” inspired engagement shoot. Andrew actually built the police call box as part of his proposal to Renee (Renee helped, but she was unaware of the proposal aspect). As an avid “Doctor Who” aficionado, I was really excited for this engagement session!
We started at a state park, but then realized that the entrance closed at 6 pm (oops!). As a result, we decided to make our way to Saratoga, and stop at someView full post »
Katie and Julia were married on an absolutely beautiful day in Manchester, Vermont. We were so excited when these two contacted us from Colorado. We just knew that they would put together an incredible day, and of course, they did! We had a fantastic time spending the day with you and your family and friends. Congratulations on your marriage!

At the end of June, we met up with Kate and Paco for their engagement session. They were both visiting the area from L.A., where Kate is a producer, and Paco is a writer and actor. There was bicycle riding, tree climbing, canoeing and much, much more. Kate had a very adorable vision of a 2 person bicycle, and a long flowing veil and the end result was so beyond sweet! The two were up for pretty much anything, so we traversed the countryside of Washington County, and stopped at some of ourView full post »
This May, we had the chance to travel up to the Wild Center for Beth and Yoni’s wedding. The couple was originally married in Israel a few months before, so this wedding was actually their second. Squeaker, the Wild Center mascot, and long time companion to Beth and Yoni, also made an appearance. Beth and Yoni and their family and friends were so nice and friendly, we had a fantastic time. Congratulations you two, and we can’t wait to see you again next month at Drew andView full post »
Tim and I recently put together a book about gardening. If you ever visited our house for a session or an appointment, you probably noticed a rather large garden in our back yard. We grow most of the vegetables we eat, and through the process of learning to grow what we eat, we’ve also learned a lot about the gardening process. In our book, called Companion Planting for the Kitchen Gardener, I detailed a specific style of gardening called “companion planting.”

Melissa and Glenn were married this past May at the gorgeous Glen Sanders Mansion in Schenectady, NY. Melissa really wanted a classic Italian wedding, and her choices brought that vision to life. The wedding theme was “the book of love,” so you’ll see little book related items that were included throughout the day. Glenn is an English teacher and Melissa loves to read, so their wedding day was a perfect reflection of who they are as people. They also acted in college, soView full post »
