Stephanie – Schuylerville Senior – Class of 2015 – Camera Famosa Photography

A couple of weeks ago, we had a chance to meet up with Stephanie, another senior at Schuylerville.  She’s the current dairy princess of Saratoga County, so it made perfect sense that she wanted to take some of her senior portrait photos with her pet cow.  She and her family were so nice and friendly!  We just love the fact that we can travel only a few miles away to find a gorgeous backdrop and a cow barn.  Have fun in your senior year! ~Sincerely – Allison & TimView full post »

Bhakta + Matt + Baby!

Bhakta and Matt were married this past year, and this year they’ve added another milestone to their life.  They’re having a baby!  We were so happy to meet up with them for a maternity session, and as always, they were a delight! ~ Sincerely – Allison & TimView full post »

Renee + Andrew – Engaged – Doctor Who Inspired Session – Saratoga Springs, NY

A few weeks ago, Renee and Andrew had the cutest “Doctor Who” inspired engagement shoot.  Andrew actually built the police call box as part of his proposal to Renee (Renee helped, but she was unaware of the proposal aspect).  As an avid “Doctor Who” aficionado, I was really excited for this engagement session! We started at a state park, but then realized that the entrance closed at 6 pm (oops!).  As a result, we decided to make our way to Saratoga, and stop at someView full post »

Companion Planting Book

Tim and I recently put together a book about gardening.   If you ever visited our house for a session or an appointment, you probably noticed a rather large garden in our back yard.  We grow most of the vegetables we eat, and through the process of learning to grow what we eat, we’ve also learned a lot about the gardening process.   In our book,  called Companion Planting for the Kitchen Gardener, I detailed a specific style of gardening called “companion planting.” CompanionView full post »

Invasive species – Sustainable Saratoga – Spring Street Gallery

Tim was recently asked to collaborate with Sustainable Saratoga and the Spring Street Gallery in Saratoga Springs, NY to help raise awareness of invasive plants and trees surrounding this great city.  He was honored that they thought of him and jumped at the chance to capture some of the non-native species in the area.  He knows this isn’t going to lead to people immediately chopping down non-native trees in their own backyard, all we hope for is that the community becomes aware ofView full post »

Spring Portrait Sessions – Saratoga Springs Portrait Photographer – Camera Famosa Studio

Spring’s almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited.  This spring at Camera Famosa, we’re offering a great deal for photos.  Every year, we add a few baby chicks to our flock.  This year, they’re arriving at the end of April.  We plan on having the sessions outdoors, but if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll make sure our studio looks ready for spring. If you’d like a sweet mini photo session with your children, contact us soon to book a time!  TheView full post »

The Pittsburgh Glass Center

As some of you may or may not know, Tim grew up near Pittsburgh, PA.  On a somewhat recent trip back in December, we visited the Pittsburgh Glass Center.  His dad is a retired scientific glassblower who used to work at the University of Pittsburgh.  He usually attends the PGC’s Open House once a month and does a live demonstration in their “flame shop.”  Now, he enjoys making Christmas ornaments as well as other artistic creations in his spare time. By heating a certain spotView full post »
